Toyota iQ city car and looks at Geneva




It has long been known that Toyota aims to expand its portfolio iQ city car to include an electric version, and now comes news that the automaker displays an output of more iQ SR at Geneva Motor Show early next month .



More than two years ago, the Toyota iQ RSV seen the FT-EV II concept car at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Few details have been confirmed for the production model, but a flat lithium-ion batteries installed under the rear floor should help give the car 65 km.

"The EV prototype is put through tests on European roads this year, with an introduction on the market potential through a leasing program in 2012," Toyota said in a statement. "Toyota has already announced its intention to bring the car market in the United States, and also examine its viability in other regions."

It is expected that the car would continue to limit the leasing market, the end of 2011, if it is complementary to the process only Toyota Prius Plug-in. United States, the car will be badged as a Scion iQ.
