MTM Geneva Show Display Includes Fastest Audi R8 with 777HP and TT RS with 472HP

Among the many tuning firms making their way to the Geneva Motor Show is VW Group specialist MTM. The German company will display two heavily modified Audi models, based on the R8 V10 and the TT RS. The most impressive proposal is the one-off MTM R8 Biturbo that comes with a polished chrome body that took over 700 working hours to complete. A large fixed spoiler at the back along with 20-inch forged rims and carbon fiber parts round off the exterior changes.

However, the most striking aspect of the tune is hidden underneath the shiny body as MTM has modified the V10 engine to produce a whopping 777-horses and 888 Nm (655 lb-ft) of peak torque for a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 3.0 seconds. The R8 BiTurbo also accelerates from naught to 200km/h (124mph) in 9.37 seconds and to 300 km/h (186mph) in 19.42 seconds, en route to a top speed 350km/h (218mph).

The conversion also includes an adjustable sports suspension and massive MTM brakes with 8-piston calipers at the front and rear axle. Currently a one-off model, the MTM R8 Biturbo is said to cost over €400,000 or about US$550,500.

MTM's second tuned vehicle is the TT RS that sports a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five producing 472-horsepower that was recently tested at Nardo achieving a top speed of 312km/h (194mph).

MTM Massages the Audi RS5, Top Speed Increased to 303km/h (188mph)

In one of its more 'lighter' tuning proposals, MTM has released details on its new line of performance upgrades for the Audi RS5 coupe. Instead of fiddling around with the RS5's 450HP V8 engine to increase the car's top speed, the German tuning simply reprograms the factory electronic speed limiter of 250km/h or 280 km/h, allowing the coupe to reach a maximum velocity of 303 km/h or 188mph. The cost for the removal of the speed limiter is a hefty €1,499 or a little over US$1,900 at today's exchange rates.

MTM's program also includes a stainless steel sports exhaust system with throttle valves for €2,998 (US$3,850) and nine-spoke alloy rims, which are available in sizes 19", 20" and 21", with prices starting from €2,249 (US$2890). According to the tuner, an individually adjustable spring-kit is in development and will be offered later this year.

MTM Tunes Into the New Audi RS5 Coupe with Some Light Upgrades

The tuning specialists over at MTM have launched a new line of upgrades for the recently confirmed for the U.S. market, Audi RS5 Coupe. MTM is still holding out on the power front, but the tuner has released new software for the factory speed limiter that allows the RS5 Coupe to reach a more attention-grabbing top speed of 303km/h or 188mph. This will cost an equally attention-grabbing €1,499 plus €125 for fitting.

MTM's offerings also include a custom exhaust system (€2,999 plus €334 for labor), a large variety of 19- and 20-inch wheels with or without spacers and a TV-set (€206 plus €17 for installation). The German tuner said a full suspension upgrade will follow in the near future.

MTM Creates An Audi RS6 Clubsport With 730 Horsepower

MTM recently took the wraps off of its latest Audi tuning job, the RS6 Clubsport package.

The already-quite-speedy RS6 gets some new aero work (front lip and rear diffuser in carbon fiber) and new independently adjustable springs.

Other external goodies include black 21-inch wheels, black tips on the new stainless steel exhaust system, and that...unique...color treatment.

Inside, there's a roll cage and carbon fiber-backed Recaros with six-point harnesses.

Performance for the bi-turbo 5.0 liter V10 gets a kick in the pants thanks to improved breathing (intake filters and the aforementioned exhaust system) and ECU tuning, resulting in a huge 730 horsepower (537 kW) and 579 lb-ft (785 Nm) of torque.

Top speed of the RS6 CS varies depending on which tires are chosen. It can be raised to something mild, like 173 mph (279 km/h), or buyers can go extreme, with a V-max of 211 mph (340 km/h).

As for me, I'd keep the orange and the decals and pass on the three-tone paint scheme. Either way, the result is an even meaner brute with a (currently) questionable paint job.

Just to end on a positive note: I love the license plate.

MTM Rolls Out Audi R8 GT3-2 with RWD and 560 Ponies

German tuner of all things VW Group, MTM, just released information regarding its latest take on Audi's R8, the GT3-2. Packing 560 horsepower (412 kW) and rear-wheel-drive, the supercharged 4.2 FSI V8 puts down 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque to help it pop 100 km/h (62 mph) in around 3.9 seconds. Top speed arrives at a claimed 317 km/h (197 mph).

With great power comes the need for great suspension; good thing MTM has a bunch of stuff out in the back shed. The R8 GT3-2 gets the tuner's adjustable setup which has been designed to mesh perfectly with those 20-inch forged rims, behind which reside 380 mm discs.

Lastly, aerodynamics have been updated with the addition of a carbon fiber front spoiler, skirts, and that big rear wing.

Touted as the only street-legal RWD Audi, MTM has this to say: "Those who are searching for an 'Ingolstädter' with four rings and rear wheel drive have to look back more than four decades ago."

I say save on the Delorean's rental fees and go straight to MTM. Don't want to buy another R8? That's fine; they'll convert yours if you already own one and just need that oversteer-y feel.

MTM Tweaks the Audi TT RS up to 424-Horsepower

The new Audi TT RS with its 340HP 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five that harks back to the original Ur-Quattro of the 1980s is the center of focus for MTM's latest tuning proposal. The German firm has developed new software for the engine's ECU and a sport exhaust system featuring new middle- and end- pipes with throttle valves.

The tuner offers three different engine packages, the first two being extremely close in performance. The Stage 1 kit boost power from 340HP to 402HP and maximum torque from 450Nm to 550Nm for a top speed of 285km/h (177mph) while the Stage II kit, to 408HP and 555Nm for a maximum speed of 287km/h (178mph).

Finally, the Stage III kit lifts output to 424HP and 560Nm allowing the TT RS to achieve a top speed of 292km/h or 182mph.

The engine upgrades can be complemented with a set of 19- or 20-inch Bimoto alloy wheels.
