KIA show in New York, the new 2011 Magentis/Optima sedan
Korean automaker Kia to introduce launched in New York on the international motor show an updated version of the sedan Magentis. According to insiders, the car, which will appear on the European market next year, will be a new name. The model will be called either K5, as in the Korean market, or Optima, as in the United States. LLS also said that next year the model will be available and the station wagon.
Design updated version of the model developed under the leadership of chief designer KIA Peter Schreier, and, according to the company, then all brand new cars will be created in the same stylistic vein. Updated Magentis is longer, wider and lower than the previous version. Due to a new longer wheelbase, increased interior space, not only, but also the volume of the car's trunk. Sedan is equipped with a ruler of a new generation of engines, including two-liter diesel unit, installed in the SUV Sportage.
