2008 Ford F-Series Pickup: Hot and on fire!
When Ford says, “this car is smoking hot!”- trust me, they aren’t kidding. That’s mainly the reason why FoMoCo told dealers to temporarily stop selling a certain type of 2008 F Series Super Duty 6.4 liter diesel pickups. Apparently, flames have been reported shooting out of the truck’s tailpipe.
It’s believed that leaking fuel ignited in the exhaust system's diesel particulate filter near the tailpipe. Although there have been no reported injuries the flaming tailpipe caused a grass fire in Texas. Perhaps the 2008 F Series was the culprit in those devastating brush fires in Orange County a few weeks ago. Then again, who in the OC is driving a Ford Pickup? Via: Detroit News
