Again Chevrolet Volt - Green Car of the Year 2011
Only two days ago hybrid car Chevrolet Volt was honored as "Car of the Year" in the U.S. in two separate competitions of American magazines Motor Trend and Automobile. Today it became clear that the vehicle has been chosen for Green Car of the Year.
The award is bestowed by the magazine Green Car Journal, the spotlight of the Los Angeles Motor Show 2010.
Chevrolet Volt hybrid car is able to overpower the cars as Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and Nissan LEAF, pausing-year domination of TDI cars. In 2008 and 2009 Green Car of the Year were selected respectively Volkswagen Jetta TDI and Audi A3 TDI.
"Ecology is a business. To be competitive globally, the cars must be effective," said organizers of the competition. "Award" Green Car of the Year "is awarded since 2006 and reflects the progress of the automotive industry in the most important sectors - ecology, complemented them.
