1983 Mercury Cougar - The end of Mercury 71 years of history
One of the few attempts to differentiate Mercury Ford products in the 80s. Having been based on the Mustang, the Cougar is the Mercury counterpart, the Thunderbird in 1974. In 1983 began the ninth generation of T-Bird. For the occasion, the Cougar gets a roof vertical wave breezeway roofs reminiscent of the 60s. This feature will last until 1997.
