In America, the car is already available from autumn 2010, while Europe must wait until the spring of 2011. The new Optima is longer, lower and wider than the 4.80 meters long predecessor. The wheelbase, which was previously at 2.72 meters is said to have grown significantly, allowing more room for passengers and luggage.
